Why We Created EXPO+
The recruiting landscape can be overwhelming for athletes, parents, and coaches alike. Too often, players are judged solely on their athletic ability, while their academic achievements are overlooked.
EXPO+ was designed to bridge this gap by offering a ranking system that combines both academic and athletic factors. This allows college coaches to find athletes who fit their programs holistically—ensuring the best match for both the player and the school.
How It Works
The EXPO+ Prospect Ranking System evaluates student-athletes using three key components providing them with 3 different scores:
Academic Score – This score is determined by an athlete’s GPA and standardized test scores (ACT/SAT). All academic scores are verified through official transcripts to ensure accuracy.
Athletic Score – Our athletic evaluation considers a player's physical attributes, skills, game IQ, effort, size, and overall athleticism. The score reflects how transferable an athlete’s abilities are to the collegiate level.
EXPO+ Score – This is the final combined ranking that takes into account both academic and athletic performance. By blending these two critical aspects, the EXPO+ Score gives coaches a well-rounded understanding of a recruit’s potential.
How Athletes Can Get Ranked
Getting ranked in the EXPO+ system is a straightforward process:
Submit Academic Information – Athletes must provide their most recent transcripts and standardized test scores for verification.
Athletic Evaluation – Players can submit game film, participate in events with EXPO scouts via showcase events or be evaluated by our certified scouting team.
Profile Completion – Once both academic and athletic evaluations are complete, an athlete must create a profile to request an EXPO+ Score.
